Board Meeting - Telephonic

Tentative Agenda

I. CALL TO ORDER

Pursuant to 21.8 of the Code of Iowa, the meeting will be held telephonically because of the impossibility and impracticability of convening an in-person meeting.

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES                              

Defer approval of April 27, 2012 meeting minutes to next in-person Board meeting.

III. ADVISORY OPNION REQUEST

Reynolds for Senate Committee asks Is it permissible for a lieutenant governor candidate to establish a campaign committee?

IV. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION

 In accordance with the provisions of Iowa Code section 21.5(1) “c” & “g”, the Board will move into closed session to discuss matters regarding current or possible litigation with counsel, and to discuss proposed investigations.

• Formal complaint against Wayne Grooters – alleged use of government resources for political purposes
• Informal complaint against Barbara Berge-  alleged use of government resources for political purposes
• Formal complaint against Joel Miller- alleged use of government resources for political purposes
• Formal complaint against Tom Slockett - alleged use of government resources for political purposes

V. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION

   Entertain motion on matter discussed in cllosed session.
