Shortly before 7pm on Thursday July 18, the Board's Web Reporting System experienced technical difficulties which prevented users from logging into their accounts, filing reports, and viewing filed reports.
The WRS is hosted by Microsoft Azure servers. Those servers experienced a global outage beginning on July 18 disrupting service to the WRS, as well as 911 services, major airlines, banking software, health services, and more.
At approximately 9:15 pm on Thursday July 18, the WRS was back online and functional. Reports are able to be filed, but if you experience any ongoing technical difficulties contact our office.
As a consequence of those technical difficulties, some committees have received premature "past-due filing" emails on July 18. Those emails should be disregarded. The deadline to file, per Iowa law, is July 19 at 4:30 P.M.
As of Monday, July 22, some Board staff are unable to access their computers, emails, and other services. We are working on restoring those systems.
